When your policyholders need you, you want the organization to spring into action. You want to be simple to contact in order to get the First Notice of Loss. You want to quickly validate that there is a policy in-force and that coverage is provided. You want to quickly move the claim into the claims processing workflow and get the claim into the work queue of the appropriate associates. You want to establish reasonable case reserves and you want to be able to adjust those case reserves as you gain new information. (And we haven't even mentioned Reinsurance.)
